Nash-vegas, that is! LOL (gotcha, didn't I?)
I made a wonderful day trip to Nashville (Brentwood) on Wednesday. Had so much fun! It was wonderful seeing all my friends in the office and I finally got to introduce them to Wyatt. My dear friend, Shari, drove up to the office from Spring Hill to pick up and babysit Wyatt for me.
I had a wonderful lunch, got to catch up on all the goings on in the office and meet the new faces. I haven't actually been in the office in nearly a year, so there were people I'd never met before. Time sure flies when there's a new baby around!
After finishing up, I drove down to Spring Hill to have dinner with the Amaral's and to pick up Wyatt. Thank you, Shari, for watching Wyatt all day and for a wonderful dinner! You're a wonderful friend.....we sure do miss you guys! We enjoyed ourselves so much that I got a much later start on my return home, so it was after 11 by the time I got home.....after midnight before making it to bed. Well worth it though!
Sadly, I don't have a single picture to document Wyatt's first road trip. I forgot my camera!
Weight Watchers Update:
Saturday, August 22nd was a great weigh in for me.....I lost 2lbs! Thank Goodness! I'm not holding out much hope for this week since my exercise routine has been a bit skewed, but I'll get back on track.
Special Congrats to my wonderful step-mom, Lisa.....She has kicked Breast Cancer in the boob!!! Just finished up her last radiation treatment! You go girl!! <3 U!
Bad News.....
My ex-stepfather passed away on Friday, August 21st in a motorcycle accident. He was 55. Please do not send condolences to me, friends....there was no love lost. However, he and my mother were still "companions"; she and my sister are devastated by his death. My heart and prayers go to them and I ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I will leave my comments at that for the sake of my family.
Ok, let's not leave this post on a bad note......
hmmmm.........how about a knock-knock joke? Here we go:
Knock-knock.
Who's there?
Yo Mama.
Yo Mama, who?
Seriously, it's Yo Mama, now open the damned door!
baaaa-ha-ha-ha!!!!!!
Oh, snap! I made myself laugh! ;)
Have a good one.

An update before I'm flogged! ;)
Just a quick update and some pics.....
Wyatt has officially started daycare. Oh, Monday was such a hard day.....for us both. I'm very happy with the daycare and his teacher is so sweet and loving. I know he's going to love it there.

Sitting at the table like a big boy!
Walker went to the ENT. He has to have tubes put in and possibly have his adnoids removed. Since our deductible hasn't been met (none of it) and we have to pay in advance, we'll be scheduling that surgery for the end of September-ish.

He didn't want me to take his picture...

More firsts for the month of August....
8/13/09
Pics? Fo shizzel.....
The next morning after a visit from the tooth fairy
On Monday, 8/17, Wyatt will begin going to daycare. I'm so, so sad about this; but it's necessary. That is until we win the lotto....but you have to play that to win, so that is doubtful. ;)
Why must my babies continue growing up like this? It's just not fair! They'll both be off to college before I know it....then what will Randy and I do? Sleep maybe? Hmmmmm, not a bad thing I guess.
Walker lost his first tooth! Details? Yes, I know you want to know....it happened at school. Miss Gigi helped him get the little dangler out....been ready to come out for days, but he was too scared to pull it. Don't know how she talked him in to it. In a way I was sad that Randy or I didn't get to be there when it happened, but what's done is done.

Wyatt is all over the place these days. He is crawling and pulling himself up at the coffee table.

A little is better than nothing :)
At my Saturday weigh-in I lost .6 of a pound. Not much, but I'm only .2 from making up what I'd gained the 2 weeks previous....so, that makes me happy. A little loss is better than no loss.
We had a wonderful weekend with our friends. Shari, Tyler and Olivia came for an overnight visit from Spring Hill, TN. We were so happy to see them! It's been WAY too long. I so miss Middle TN and our friends there.
Although Saturday didn't go quite as planned due to a flat tire and rain, it turned out to be a fun day. And the most important thing is that we got to spend time together. We only wish they could have stayed longer!
Here are a few pics from their visit
